Welcome to our blog series on how organizations around the world are driving ROI through the XY Sense platform.
Today, we explore how an XY Sense workstation recommendation helps business services giant boost hybrid policy compliance by more than 20%.
A global business services companies was struggling with a low compliance rate for its hybrid guidelines at one of its largest location . Rather than resort to punitive measures to improve compliance, they wanted to attract more people to come into the office each week by making the workplace a more appealing and productive.
Using XY Sense, the team worked to understand why some offices and teams showed much higher compliance rates. The compared the resources and amenities available in high compliance versus low compliance locations to identify potential ways to increase workplace appeal.
Analysis that utilization of workpoints with pre-installed second screens was 40% higher than workpoints without second screens. When they looked at data for the specific office, they saw that many available workpoints had no pre-installed screen and that those workstations that did have screens had very high utilization. They hypothesized that adding second screens would increase the appeal of in-office time and get more people to come in more often.
The results were very impressive. Adding low-cost screens to more workpoints made more workers interested in coming in because they felt their days would be more productive. Over the next several months, the company saw a 20%+ improvement in hybrid policy compliance in the problem office, at a cost of <$10,000.
